Finding Usable Ad Space On Your Website

Many web masters want to make the space which they have on their web site more profitable. The way to do this is through affiliate marketing, advertising etc. But what is the best way to find this space on your website.

The use of the screen shot tool ScreenGrab! is a perfect tool for taking a whole page screen shot to analyze where to put adverts. By using this tool in FireFox (you can download it on the right hand side under cool links) you can take a picture of the whole page. Viewing it in a zoomed out state you can see the spaces that are present on your pages.

For example take a look at the screen shot below (Click for full version). The red area represents unused space which could be made into some profit.



Here is a slightly more extreme version. The red area is a side bar that could contain advertising or other money making means.


What could you do with this area? Personally I think that it doesn't want to be filled up to much with advertising. But more stuff added to this area could help. For example you could add Click Bank products, Online Surveys, just to name a few.

Remember To Take The Spoon Out Of The Pan

Rule number #134 Always remember to turn the gas off a pan and remove any plastic spoons.

The following image is what happens if you leave the gas on a pan and you forget to remove the offending plastic objects. It took a couple of hours of hard scrubbing to remove the plastic. Thankfully the pan survived, and looks better than before. The sanding made the bottom nice and shiny. I can't say that the plastic spoon faired much better and had to make an unfortunate trip to the dust bin.

The World's Most Relaxed And Beautiful Doctor's Surgery

After being on my trip a couple of weeks ago I snapped this pick of the worlds most relaxed and beautiful doctors surgery. Snapped in the Greek island of Zakynthos, this surgery is located in Alykes on the Eastern coast of the island. From what I remember the doctor is inside from about 9am till 4pm, then 7pm till 11.30pm. After hours if you call his mobile he will be in the surgery within ten minutes. No one in Britain will ever get that kind of service. He trained in the Nottingham Medical University (or what ever its called) in the UK.

The Gender of Computers

A language instructor was explaining to her class that French nouns, unlike their English counterparts, are grammatically designated as masculine or feminine.

Things like 'chalk' or 'pencil,' she described, would have a gender association although in English these words were neutral. Puzzled, one student raised his hand and asked, "What gender is a computer?"

The teacher wasn't certain which it was,and so divided the class into two groups and asked them to decide if a computer should be masculine or feminine. One group was comprised of the women in the class, and the other, of men. Both groups were asked to give four reasons for their recommendation.

The group of women concluded that computers should be referred to in masculine gender because:

1. In order to get their attention, you have to turn them on.
2. They have a lot of data but are still clueless.
3. They are supposed to help you solve your problems, but half the time they ARE the problem.
4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that, if you had waited a little longer, you could have had a better model.

The men, on the other hand, decided that computers should definitely be referred to in the feminine gender because:

1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic.
2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else.
3. Even your smallest mistakes are stored in long-term memory for later retrieval.
4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories.

Quick Tip Word Delete

While writing up one of my many many reports that I have to do I've found a quick two button command that can delete a whole word, which is a great time saving tip. To use all you have to do is press option and then the back space key. It only works on Macs, so if you don't have go out and by one.

Making Money Online

There are many ways to make money online, most need the help of a website either running ads or selling products to really make some of the big bucks. But I have found a service on the interenet that gives you cash for the completion of questionaires.
This product is called CashCrate, and for once it is not a scam.
